Journal: My Chinese Heart

As a 20-year-old, I embarked on a spontaneous two-month journey to Southern China. Wanting to make sense of the beauty and madness, I eventually stayed for another four years. Armed with an open mind and a camera, the people I met became co-authors to my images, and the experiences I faced shaped the person I have become today. After leaving my home in Hangzhou, I realized that my heart for the unconventional Chinese culture would forever be ingrained in me. Locations include Hangzhou, Xiamen, Xi'an, Shanghai, Guangzhou, along with small towns in Fujian, Zhejiang and, Anhui. Shot in various digital and film formats.
